WooCommerce maintenance: check the purchase journey
A store needs more than a homepage that loads. We agree which purchase paths and connections I will check after updates, using test data and your payment provider’s test mode where available.
Products, variations and the basket
I check the agreed product pages, variation selection, displayed prices and availability. I then check that a customer can add an item, change its quantity and move from the basket to checkout on mobile and desktop.
Checkout, payments and delivery
I check the agreed checkout fields, delivery choices and payment methods. A test order helps verify the confirmation page, payment status and order email. Testing a real payment requires your separate approval and an agreed test procedure.
Orders and connected systems
If integration checks are included, I trace an agreed test order and its stock or status changes between WooCommerce and the connected system. I check for missing or duplicate transfers within that scope. Provider outages and changes to external APIs may need separate investigation.
A repair or a new feature?
Restoring an existing function and adding a new one are different tasks. I explain the cause and proposed work before proceeding. A new payment provider, carrier or ERP connection is quoted separately unless it is already included in your agreement.

WordPress support for a site built by someone else
You do not need to rebuild your website to ask for support. I first review its condition and confirm whether I can maintain it. Existing problems, missing licences or unsupported software may need attention before regular maintenance starts.
Start with the website address
Send me the public URL, the issue or changes you have in mind, and the names of any important plugins or integrations. Tell me who manages hosting and licences. Do not send passwords, API keys or customer records through the enquiry form.
Agree the review and access
I confirm the scope and any cost of the initial review before work starts. We then arrange only the access needed, using a separate account where possible and an agreed secure method. Your domain, hosting and service accounts remain under your control.
Separate existing issues from ongoing care
I identify the work needed before taking over, what can be maintained regularly and what depends on a third party. You receive the proposed scope and costs before deciding. An initial repair is not automatically included in a monthly plan.
Set the maintenance baseline
We agree the functions to protect, backup arrangements, update frequency, contact method and service hours. Where a staging copy is appropriate, we also agree its setup and cost. I record the starting condition so later work has a clear point of reference.

See what was done, checked and left to decide
Your maintenance summary separates completed work, checks, unresolved issues and recommendations. Where your plan includes time for changes, it also records the time used. The format and reporting frequency are agreed before starting.
Illustrative report only. The entries below use a fictional website. They are not a client report or evidence of work performed on your site.
Completed
The agreed plugin updates were applied after a backup. The opening hours were changed using the wording approved by the website owner.
Checked
The agreed contact form and mobile navigation were tested. On the sample store, the basket, delivery choice and test payment confirmation were checked.
Still unresolved
A shipping connector returned an error during the test. Label creation remains unverified; the report records the issue and the next diagnostic step.
Your decision
A licence renewal is needed before a further plugin update. The owner receives the supplier’s cost and decides whether to renew. No purchase or additional work is assumed.
